Müllheim Im Markgräflerland · Baden-Württemberg

Weingut Schneider-Krafft

Since 1770 the Schneider family has run this estate, now in its ninth generation under Annette and Friedrich Schneider. All grapes come from the Badenweiler Römerberg, a south-southwest slope with calcareous soils. The winery produces still wines, sparkling Sekt made by traditional bottle fermentation, and fruit spirits from its own orchard. Seven grape varieties are cultivated, mainly Burgunder types (Spätburgunder, Weißburgunder, Grauburgunder) plus Gutedel and Nobling. Most wines are dry, with natural vinification and long lees aging. The estate also distills Trester, fruit brandies, and yeast schnapps in its own house distillery. Red wines undergo maceration and malolactic fermentation.
