Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 June 2026.

This policy explains how UpperRhein.com handles personal data. The controller is MELEKHOFF & FILS (Elena Melikhova, entrepreneur individuel), Alsace, France, info@upperrhein.com.

1. What we collect and why

Enquiry forms. When you contact us we collect your name, e-mail and the message you send. We use them only to answer you and to provide the service you ask for. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract and our legitimate interest in replying.

Listed companies. The catalogue contains corporate contact details (company name, address, business phone and e-mail, public activity data) taken from public sources. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in maintaining a regional business directory. We do not publish personal e-mail addresses or the names of individual employees.

Server logs. Our host keeps standard technical data (IP address, browser, time) for a short period, for security and stability.

2. Cookies

The site uses only essential cookies needed to work. We do not run advertising or analytics tracking. If that ever changes, we will ask for your consent first. See our Cookie Policy.

3. Sharing

We never sell your data. We share it only with providers strictly necessary to run the site (for example hosting) and where the law requires it.

4. Retention

Enquiry data is kept only as long as needed to deal with your request and meet our record-keeping duties. Catalogue data is kept until removal is requested or the company ceases trading.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR you may access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your data, and you may lodge a complaint with the French authority (CNIL, cnil.fr). To exercise your rights — or, if you are a listed company, to request changes — e-mail info@upperrhein.com or use the producer-data form.

6. Hosting

Data is hosted within the European Union.
