Terms of Use & Disclaimer

Last updated: 13 June 2026.

These terms govern your use of UpperRhein.com and of the services we provide. By using the site you accept them.

1. Who we are

UpperRhein.com is operated by MELEKHOFF & FILS (Elena Melikhova, entrepreneur individuel), SIRET 842 069 510 00019, Alsace, France — referred to here as “we” or “us”. You can reach us at info@upperrhein.com.

2. What this site is

UpperRhein.com is a free, open catalogue of manufacturers in the Upper Rhine region (Alsace and Baden-Württemberg) and an independent sourcing and trade-support service. It is not a marketplace: no sale, order or payment takes place on this website. The fact that a company is listed does not mean it is our client or partner, nor that we endorse it.

3. Catalogue information

Manufacturer profiles are compiled from public sources — official company registries and the companies’ own websites — and rewritten by us with automated assistance. We publish corporate contact details only. The information is provided “as is”, without any warranty as to accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose, and it may be out of date. Please verify any detail before you rely on it. A company that wishes to verify, correct or remove its profile can use our producer-data form; we handle such requests within 72 hours.

4. Our role when you hire us

When you engage our services, we act as your local representative — your “eyes and hands” on the ground. We help you find suppliers, visit and assess them, negotiate, inspect goods, and deal with documents and logistics. We work with care and to the best of our ability (an obligation of means, not of result). We are never a party to the contract concluded between you and a manufacturer or any other third party, and we do not handle the buyer’s payments to the manufacturer.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for: the quality, conformity, delivery or payment of goods ordered from any manufacturer; the conduct of any manufacturer, buyer or third party; decisions you make on the basis of catalogue information; or any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, business or data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under French law.

6. Help for businesses

We also assist local companies and institutions with practical, everyday tasks: local representation, administrative errands, translation and interpreting (FR / EN / RU; German via partner), receiving and accompanying visitors, and similar support. If your business needs a reliable pair of hands in the Upper Rhine, write to info@upperrhein.com.

CIS markets & Russian: if you have customers or partners in the CIS countries, we can act as interpreter, assist in negotiations, or travel to your partners on your behalf, and take on any task that needs native Russian or knowledge of those markets.

7. Intellectual property

The design, texts and trademarks of this site are protected. Company names and logos belong to their respective owners and are shown for identification only.

8. Governing law & changes

These terms are governed by French law. We may update them from time to time; the version published here is always the one that applies. See also our Privacy Policy and Legal Notice.
