Weingut Höfflin

Matthias Höfflin runs this family winery at the foot of the Kaiserstuhl volcano massif, 15 km from Freiburg. The estate sits on a southeast-facing slope in the Schambach valley, where volcanic soils and a sunny microclimate shape the grapes. All wines are certified organic under Bioland standards. The winery also hosts tastings and events in a dedicated room with natural materials and warm colours. A short documentary on climate change featuring Höfflin aired in 2025.
