Weingut Gruber

Founded over 50 years ago by Edeltraut and Wilfried Gruber, this family-run winery started as a self-sufficient farm with just 2 hectares of vines. Today, Michael Gruber manages 16 hectares in Aspisheim, Rheinhessen. The estate grows classic varieties like Riesling, Silvaner, and Spätburgunder, alongside newer ones such as Dornfelder and Cabernet Dorsa. A Merlot is planned for 2024. The vineyards lie on diverse soils—silt, loam, marl, and clay—in the Binger St. Rochuskapelle area. Wines are bottled and sold directly to consumers, with delivery tours available.
