Berg Brauerei

Since 1466, the family-run Berg Brauerei in Ehingen-Berg has been brewing beer using open fermentation vats, a method that demands extra effort but yields distinct character. The brewery, now in its tenth generation under Ulrich Zimmermann, produces twelve year-round and six seasonal specialties. Among them are Ulrichsbier, a cult beer in a flip-top bottle, and several organic varieties like Schäfleshimmel and 3-Korn-Hefeweizen. The brewery also runs a restaurant serving Swabian cuisine and offers tours, brewing courses, and events such as the biennial Ulrichsfest. Ingredients are sourced regionally.
