Weingut Julius Zotz

Founded in 1865 by Julius Zotz in the former Maltese castle of Heitersheim, this family winery is now run by the fifth generation. Cousins Martin and Michael, together with Martin's son Julian, cultivate vineyards on the slopes of the Black Forest foothills. The estate focuses on Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Grauburgunder, Weißburgunder, and Gutedel, with top sites like Maltesergarten and Römerberg. Sustainable viticulture and minimal intervention in the cellar are key principles. The winery produces a range from entry-level Gutsweine to premium single-vineyard wines and sparkling Sekt.
