Staatsweingut Freiburg

Founded in 1842, the state-owned winery operates vineyards on the volcanic soils of the Kaiserstuhl and loess terraces. It produces a broad portfolio of white, red, rosé, sparkling wines and non-alcoholic options. The winery is a member of VDP and ECOVIN, and its Grossen Lagen include the DOKTORGARTEN WINKLEN. Two vinotheks in Freiburg and Ihringen offer tastings and direct sales. The estate also runs a research institute for viticulture.
