Rieger & Hofmeister

Founded in the mid-1990s, this family-run distillery and delicacy manufactory is located in Fellbach, at the gateway to the Remstal valley east of Stuttgart. Marcus and Stephanie Hofmeister cultivate around 20 hectares of vineyards and orchards, using traditional and forgotten fruit varieties such as Stuttgarter Gaishirtle, Gewürzluike, and Konstantinopler Apfelquitte. The portfolio includes fruit brandies, marc brandies from local wine grapes, and a range of whiskies aged in used wine barrels from the Stuttgart region. The Fellbach Dry Gin, made with juniper and other botanicals, is a core product. The company operates a farm shop called Gutslädle and a wine tavern Moiakäfer, and ships orders throughout Germany.
