Weingut Freiherr von Gleichenstein

Founded in 1634, this family-run estate in Vogtsburg-Oberrotweil at the Kaiserstuhl has been under the management of Johannes and Christina von Gleichenstein since 2003. Through consistent yield reduction, the winery produces wines that rank among Germany's best. The estate grows Burgundy varieties such as Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay on volcanic soils. It also makes a traditional method sparkling wine, Badischer Winzersekt. Visitors are welcome for tastings and events.
