Founded in 1997, Weida CNC GmbH in Backnang offers complete sheet metal processing under one roof. The company handles programming, CNC laser cutting, bending, punching, tube processing, and welding – including robotic welding and grinding. They work with 2D and 3D laser systems, a 4-meter press brake with 320 tonnes of force, and a punching press capable of handling sheet metal up to 6 mm thick. Prototypes, single parts, and series production are all possible. Weida also collaborated with Carbon Technik Schuster GmbH to develop an industrial plant that produces biochar from organic waste.
