Speidel

Founded in 1912, Speidel produces stainless steel and polyethylene tanks and containers at its factory in Ofterdingen, Baden-Württemberg. The company also manufactures the Braumeister home brewing system and equipment for home cider making. A rainwater barrel invented by Speidel in the 1970s became widely known. The company covers half its electricity needs with its own photovoltaic system and uses green electricity for the remainder. Raw materials are sourced mainly from Germany.
