The Maxau paper mill, part of Schwarz Produktion, began producing supercalendered printing paper in March 2023. The mill uses a mix of recycled fibers and fresh wood fibers to make SC paper for brochures, flyers, catalogs, and magazines. Located in Karlsruhe, the facility sits at the heart of the European market. The paper is recyclable, renewable, and biodegradable. Schwarz Produktion also manufactures food products like beverages, baked goods, chocolate, ice cream, pasta, and jam for Lidl and Kaufland, but the Maxau site focuses solely on paper.
