Founded in 1885, Rombach Holzwerk operates a sawmill in Schonach at 870 meters above sea level in the Black Forest. The family-run business is now in its fourth generation. It processes softwoods such as spruce, fir, Douglas fir, pine, Weymouth pine, and larch, sourced from high-altitude stands. The product range includes structural timber, sawn timber, planed goods, moon-phase timber, and residual woods. Services cover finger-jointing, planing, drying, impregnation, cutting to size, labeling, profile milling, IPPC heat treatment, foiling, and equalizing. The company holds FSC and PEFC certifications and participates in the 'Holz von Hier' regional climate label.
