Founded in 1962, the Porsche Entwicklungszentrum in Weissach serves as the brand's central research and development hub. From initial sketches to finished prototypes, the facility handles design, concept work, model building, aerodynamic and acoustic testing, electronics validation, and drivetrain development. It also houses Porsche's motorsport division and an on-site test track. The center prepares vehicles for series production and supports the entire Porsche model range including the 718, 911, Cayenne, Macan, Panamera, and Taycan.
