PIEPER BASLER

Founded by Jochen Basler and Kirsten Pieper, the estate is housed in a half-timbered building from 1800 in Offenburg-Zell-Weierbach. The winery classifies its wines into three quality tiers: Plaisir for everyday enjoyment, Saveur as food companions, and Idée for contemplative drinking. Reds are aged in used barrique barrels; whites in steel or oak. The vineyard site Zeller Abtsberg offers views toward Strasbourg. The winery also runs a bookshop and wine shop called Akzente in Offenburg's city center and lets two holiday apartments on the premises.
