Max Simmel

Founded in 1918 by Max Simmel in Pforzheim, the company originally built cooling machines for butchers and breweries, hand spindle presses, and automatic trimming and beading machines for tin cans. After World War II, it became known for its Korrex proof presses used in the printing industry. Since the 1970s, the focus shifted to chipless forming of rotationally symmetric hollow bodies. Today, Max Simmel builds all-electric Rollotronic® roll-forming machines without compressed air or hydraulics. The company also offers process development, tool making, contract manufacturing, machine refurbishment, and spare parts. Since 2013, it has been part of the IFUTEC Group in Karlsbad. The machines serve the automotive, metrology, sanitary, consumer goods, and packaging industries.
