Founded in 1949 by Hans Liebherr, the group remains a family-owned enterprise. Its French subsidiary, based in Colmar since 1974, employs over 250 people. Liebherr manufactures construction machinery, mining equipment, mobile and tower cranes, maritime cranes, aerospace and railway systems, gear technology and automation, refrigeration and freezing appliances, and components. The company also operates hotels and offers digital solutions via Liebherr Connect. With production sites across multiple countries, Liebherr serves industries from earthmoving to wind energy.
