Holzwerke Riedlinger

Since 1808, the Riedlinger family has run this sawmill and pallet plant in Bohlingen, Singen. The company cuts about 110,000 cubic meters of softwood lumber annually from spruce, fir, and pine, supplying the construction and pallet industries. Roughly half of the output is exported to Italy, Spain, and France. The business also produces wood chips, sawdust, bark mulch, and shavings for the particleboard industry and energy recovery. Pallet production includes disposable, reusable, and custom models, all IPPC-treated. The company operates its own hydropower plant, which supplied electricity to the village until 1980.
