Founded in 1978, FLÖTER developed the first air cushion system in 1996. The company produces air cushion machines and films at its facility in Schwieberdingen, Germany. Its AirWave series includes models like the AirWave1 and AirWave2, which process films as thin as 12 µm. The product range covers cushioning materials made from recycled paper (PaperWave), water-soluble films (AquaWave), home-compostable bioplastics (PlantWave), and certified climate-neutral options (ClimaFilm). Antistatic ESD films and heavy-duty variants are also available. FLÖTER serves industrial and e-commerce packaging sectors across Europe and the USA.
