Elbel Libro

Founded in 2012, this hand bookbindery moved to Lembach, France in 2023. It creates custom-made presentation solutions: guest books for hotels, boxes for precious books, restaurant menus, and portfolios for photographers. Services include bookbinding, box making, and foil blocking. The workshop produces one-off items or very limited editions. Benjamin Elbel, trained at the Centro del bel libro in Ascona and at binderies in Germany and England, runs the studio. The team speaks English, French, Dutch, and German. They do not make notebooks, restoration, or industry dummies.
