Craiss

Founded over a century ago by Heinrich Craiss in Mühlacker Dürrmenz, the company originally produced buckles, clasps and closures for shoes, bags and clothing. Today, five generations later, Craiss Metallmanufaktur GmbH in Wurmberg manufactures standard and custom pin buckles (Dornschließen), folding clasps (Faltschließen), decorative coatings, and jewelry components for watches and technical applications. The firm operates its own tool shop and CNC machining center with 5-axis capability, handling materials such as stainless steel, titanium, gold, platinum and Damascus steel. It offers contract manufacturing services including CNC milling, turning, drilling, grinding, laser welding, bending and pressing. Craiss holds certified environmental management systems and a recycling certificate for metal-bearing residues. The company uses renewable energy and recycles process water with soap-based cleaning solutions.
