Carfar

Founded in 1956 as a toy manufacturer, Carfar transitioned to industrial bodybuilding in the 1970s. Today the group designs and builds custom truck and utility vehicle bodies from four production sites in the Grand Est region. Its in-house engineering office and metal fabrication shop allow full control over construction. Carfar holds several patents, including a riveted chassis assembly method used in aerospace. 25% of its output is exported. The company also fits out vehicles for specific trades: ambulances, funeral vans, fire and rescue units, and artisan work trucks. Equipment offerings include lighting, signage, load securing, and cab extensions.
