Founded in Crailsheim, in the Hohenlohe-Franken region, this family-run brewery has been producing beer since the 19th century. The Fach family, now in its third generation, operates the brewery with a focus on traditional recipes and modern brewing techniques. Engel beers are made from regional raw materials and have received numerous awards, including the Bundesehrenpreis in Gold, which named the brewery Germany's Brewery of the Year in 2025. The product line includes pale beers, dark beers, wheat beers, seasonal beers, organic options, alcohol-free beers, and lemonades. The brewery also offers brewery tours, brewing courses, and a shop selling beer specialties, gift boxes, glassware, and clothing.
