Bauer Thermoforming

Founded in 1905 by Julius Bauer, the company originally operated in a different field before adding vacuum thermoforming in the 1950s. Today it runs nine thermoforming lines handling thermoplastics up to 3300 x 2300 mm and 20 mm thick. Seven 5-axis CNC machining centers produce parts up to 1000 mm high with a repeatability of 0.2 mm. Assembly services include screwing, welding and bonding of complex subassemblies. The company also processes bio-based thermoplastics based on lignin in cooperation with biopolymer researchers. Customers include global market leaders in automotive, medical technology and logistics.
