Founded in 1968 by Willy Korf in Kehl's Rhine harbor, Badische Stahlwerke GmbH operates one of the world's leading electric steelworks. The company produces over 2 million tonnes of steel annually, converting scrap into finished steel products within four hours. Its portfolio includes concrete reinforcing steel bars and coils, wire rod, continuous cast billets, and fabricated reinforcement products. With more than 1,300 employees, the firm supplies construction markets across Europe. The site in Kehl houses steelmaking, rolling mills, and wire processing facilities. The company is part of the Kehler group, which also includes specialized subsidiaries like BSE, BAG, and BSN.
