Founded in 1860 by Gotthard Allweiler, who invented the fire-fighting wing pump, the company has been part of CIRCOR since 2025. It produces centrifugal pumps, internal gear pumps, three-screw and two-screw spindle pumps, precision gear pumps, and progressive cavity pumps. The product portfolio also includes the former IMO and Houttuin brands, now integrated as Allweiler product lines. Applications range from marine scrubber systems and anti-heeling systems for ships to coolant supply for machine tools and tunnel boring. The company operates its own foundry and holds quality certifications.
