Albedo

Founded in 1996, Albedo builds satellites and systems for Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO). The company's Clarity-1 satellite, launched in March 2025, demonstrated 12% drag outperformance and atomic oxygen mitigation, validated for a five-year average lifespan. Albedo offers buses, integrated satellites, and turnkey missions optimized below 400 km. Their technology enables high-resolution imaging, active sensing, direct-to-device connectivity, missile defense, and space domain awareness. Customers include the NRO, Space Force, AFRL, and NASA JPL. The team brings experience from Lockheed Martin, SpaceX, and the DoD.
